Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Pools
Disney’s Yacht Club is home to Stormalong Bay, a large pool area that’s shared with the Beach Club. Many choose to stay at the Yacht Club for access to the pool. You can also take advantage of three other leisure pools between the two resorts

Disney’s Yacht Club is a deluxe resort in the Epcot Resorts Area of Walt Disney World. It’s one of four resorts within walking distance of Epcot’s International Gateway.

The Pools
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is home to Stormalong Bay and the Admiral Pool. Guests of the resort can also take advantage of the two additional leisure pools at the Beach Club. Below, we’ll preview each pool option at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, including location, pool hours, and other amenities. The four resort pools are as follows:
- Stormalong Bay
- Admiral Pool
- Tidal Pool
- Dunes Cove Pool
Those who want to find a quiet spot on the Yacht Club side of the resort or take a quick swim will likely enjoy the Admiral Pool. It’s an excellent place to relax and offers a nearby laundromat.

Pool Hours
Feature pool hours can and do change throughout the year. Stormalong Bay is typically open from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Then, after Labor Day, the pool is often open between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Quiet pool hours are from 7:00 a.m. through 11:00 p.m. These pool hours are pretty consistent throughout the year. Quiet pools are not locked and do not have lifeguards or attendants.
Pool hours are typically posted at each gate. You can check them after your arrival to confirm the exact hours during your visit. The pools are heated to 82 degrees. So, in the event of cooler weather, they usually remain open. However, if the outside temperature drops significantly, the pools close until warmer temperatures return.

Pool Amenities
Complimentary Towels and Life Jackets
Complimentary towels and life jackets are provided at all Disney Resort pools.

Every pool has a stand with life jackets. They come in a variety of sizes.

Mobility Lifts
Pool lifts are available for guests with disabilities or limited mobility. Here is a photo of the lift at the Beach Club’s Tidal Pool.

Changing Areas
Each of the resort’s pools has a nearby restroom. Stormalong Bay, however, has an area with dedicated showers, toiletries, and towels. If you find this area busy, you can also use the shower inside the Ship Shape Health Club. The gym sits directly behind the pool and is only a short walk from the shower area.

Stormalong Bay
Stormalong Bay is more of a water park than a pool. It’s so large that it would be difficult to photograph in its entirety unless you had an aerial view. Most guests (including my family) stay at the Yacht Club for access to Stormalong Bay. We spend most of our days relaxing at the pool. Then, we visit the parks for dining, rides, and entertainment in the evenings.

A kiddie pool is available inside the shipwreck, across the walkway from Stormalong Bay. The ship, also known as the Albatross, serves as the entrance to the pool’s water slide, the Flying Jib. The photo below shows where the slide begins at the top of the ship’s mast.

Stormalong Bay is home to many features that we cover in an in-depth guide here on the site. In addition to a few of the things we’ve already mentioned, it offers a lazy river area, multiple lagoons, sand-bottom areas, three hot tubs, and so much more. See our guide below for photos and details of all the pool’s amenities and tips for getting a seat.
Stormalong Bay
It’s so much more than a resort pool! We often refer to this 3-acre area as a mini water park. Guests line up at the pool gates each morning, waiting for the pool to open. Each one hoping to secure a seat in their desired location. Who needs a theme park when you have such a great pool at the resort?

Cabanas
Cabana rentals can be reserved up to 60 days in advance, but they sell out quickly. If you want to learn more, we have a review of renting a cabana at the Beach Club.

Leisure Pools
Admiral Pool
The Admiral Pool is on the Yacht Club side of the resort. If you take the hallway from the lobby past The Marketplace at Ale and Compass, it dead-ends at doors leading to the Admiral Pool. It’s a peaceful pool area surrounded by trees on one side.

This pool is a little off the beaten path. If your room doesn’t face it, you might not know it was there.

All the quiet pools have a maximum depth of 4’3″.

A hot tub is available on one side of the pool, and a large laundry room is immediately behind the pool. We have a post with specifics for laundry at Disney’s Yacht Club if you want to learn more.

The Tidal Pool
Disney’s Beach Club has two additional quiet pools. The Tidal Pool sits on the front side of Disney’s Beach Club. It is the smallest of the three quiet pools between the resorts. While this pool sits near the walkway to Epcot, a laundry room sits on one end, blocking the view. Rooms on the other three sides surround the pool.

To access this pool, take the main hallway off the resort’s lobby. Follow the signs that say pool, and after a few turns, you’ll reach a doorway leading out to the pool. You can’t miss it. This pool is often the least busy of the three quiet pools. However, if you visit when the weather is warm, don’t be surprised to find a reasonable number of guests at all the pools.

A hot tub sits adjacent to the pool.

The Beach Club’s primary laundry room sits immediately in front of the Tidal Pool. We have a separate article with the locations for all the laundry rooms at Disney’s Beach Club.

Dunes Cove Pool
Lastly, the Dunes Cove Pool sits in front of Disney’s Beach Club Villas. The buildings in this wing are mint green compared to the blue of Disney’s Beach Club.

A hot tub is available at the Dunes Cove Pool.

Hurricane Hanna’s
If you want to enjoy a meal or cocktail at the pool, you’ll have two options. One option is to order something and take it with you to the pool. You can also order food at Hurricane Hanna’s, the poolside bar and grill at Stormalong Bay.

During busier times, servers wait on guests at the pool deck. However, the number of servers available is often limited. On our last visit, a server left a menu. It was over 30 minutes before he returned to our area. While it wasn’t his fault, if you want something quickly, you are probably better off ordering it at the location.

Tip: We like placing to-go orders at Ale and Compass and bringing food to the pool. The food is of good quality and reasonably priced. If you want something small, you can order something from the kids’ menu.
Tip: If you purchase a Rapid Fill mug during your stay, you should be aware that Hurricane Hanna’s has a beverage refill station. You can refill your mug at the pool. See Rapid Fill Mugs at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club for details.
Final Thoughts
We hope this guide provided an overview of your pool options at Disney’s Yacht Club. We love Stormalong Bay! On a side note, however, I would caution that some guests are overwhelmed by the large pool area. So, if you have children of an age where you’ll need to keep an eye on them at all times, you might not enjoy your pool time. When my niece was younger, we camped out at the sandbar pool. It’s more of a wading pool than anything. She was content to dig in the sand all day. So, I never had to worry about her wandering off into other pool areas.
Otherwise, make sure to bring a good book and find a spot in the full sun or shade, and relax the day away. Don’t forget the sunscreen! You might even enjoy a little pool-hopping between the resort’s quiet and feature pools throughout your trip. It’s your vacation, so enjoy what you like the most. These special times don’t come often enough for most of us.
