A Photo Tour of the ‘S’il Vous Play’ Water Play Area at Disney’s Riviera Resort
The S’il Vous Play Aquatic Play Area is one of the most charming features for little ones at Disney’s Riviera Resort. More commonly known as the splash pad, this area provides a wonderful space for children to play and plenty of room for parents to relax nearby. As you likely know, the Riviera Resort is inspired by the European hotels of the French and Italian Riviera. The S’il Vous Play area, specifically, draws its inspiration from the grand public fountains of Europe. A ballet of characters from Disney’s animated film Fantasia adds a touch of whimsy.

The resort splash pad sits to one side of the Riviera Pool, which is the resort’s feature pool. It’s directly behind the water slide in a separately fenced area.

A couple of signs are posted near the entrance and around the pool area, stating that the S’il Vous Play area is for the enjoyment of children under 48 inches.

The splash pad has two mini-slides, multiple fountains, and water features. Overall, it’s just a fun place for the little ones to cool off.

A couple of miniature water cannons make for a fun play element.

The first slide is a small tunnel with a mild curve.

It somewhat mimics the tower slide at the nearby pool.

The other slide is pretty simple, making for a good primer.

Here are a few of those Fantasia theming elements. These are Hyacinth Hippo’s maidens from the Dance of the Hours segment of the film.

Overall, the S’il Vous Play Area offers a fun opportunity to let little ones cool off in an environment designed just for them. These special touches often have more of an impact on your stay than you can ever imagine upfront. The entire pool area is laid out well, with the resort’s quick service and pool bar only a few steps away. You can pick up lunch, dinner, or whatever you fancy and have a splendid (read: relaxing) time while your children happily play. It’s a win-win for everyone.
