Through the Years: Donald Duck, Daisy, and the Nephews Topiaries at Epcot

Donald Duck has been part of the topiary family at Epcot for as long as I can remember. Through the years, he’s been joined by Daisy Duck and sometimes his three nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Our photos and coverage of the festival began about six years ago. At that time, Donald was part of a display with Chip and Dale and Mickey and Minnie Mouse. He was in the landscaped bed between Disney Traders and the Port of Entry.

His nephews were nearby.

Daisy Duck was also present at the festival. She was positioned in front of five topiary stars, directly behind Spaceship Earth. Of course, this area was almost entirely demolished a few years ago. Today, Walt Disney’s statue stands in approximately the same location where Daisy’s topiary was originally placed.

By 2021, the family had regrouped. They were surrounded by purple flowers.

The nephews were each holding a gardening tool and wearing their appropriate shirt and cap with colors of red, green, and blue.

I remember taking the photo below and thought it was the best angle to photograph them, given how they were facing Spaceship Earth.

By 2023, Donald and Daisy had relocated to an area called the Community Garden in front of Connections Eatery in World Discovery. We didn’t see the nephews this year.

In 2024, Donald Duck returned to the Community Garden with a vibrant red bowtie and more defined colors. He’s still carrying his bag of seeds and a hoe to help plant them. If you look closely, the bee still rests on his forehead.

Daisy was missing in action in 2024, and it doesn’t look like she’ll be back in 2025. However, the nephews returned last year to a bed in World Discovery between Test Track and Mission: Space. This year, they’ve moved again. You’ll find them a little closer to Donald Duck.

We enjoy seeing Donald Duck and family during the festival. Hopefully, we’ll see Daisy return. For more topiaries, you might enjoy the following:
