Magic Kingdom To Close Early for a Private Event on October 21st
When we were adding hours to our monthly guide for visiting Disney World in October of 2025, we noticed that Magic Kingdom is closing early for a private event on October 21st. Park hours show that the Magic Kingdom will close at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st. While it is common for the theme park to close early on select nights between August and December due to seasonal parties, this is not the case for this early closing.
If you were to look at a list of Halloween dates for this year’s party, you wouldn’t see this date and would likely assume you were good to go for Magic Kingdom. It might be a shock to arrive with plans for the entire day and find signage outside the park’s entrance, stating that the park will close early that evening. Therefore, it is always important to check the park’s hours of operation before your visit. It’s also why we try to post these kinds of things here on the site and include them in our monthly snapshots.

Visiting Magic Kingdom on a day the park closes early has both pros and cons. The biggest drawback, naturally, is the park’s shortened hours, with it closing earlier than usual. If you only have one day to spend there, it’s better to choose a date where you don’t miss the nighttime entertainment and fireworks. However, if your schedule allows for more than one Magic Kingdom visit, or if you have a park hopper ticket, this kind of date can work in your favor. That’s because the Magic Kingdom often sees lighter crowds since most guests prefer not to use a full-priced ticket on a day with limited hours.
