Magic Kingdom Park To Close Early One Evening In Late January 2026
If you are visiting Walt Disney World in late January 2026, note that Magic Kingdom is scheduled to close at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th for a private event. Guests with standard park tickets will likely want to visit another park or adjust their plans for that day. Alternatively, those visiting with a park-hopper ticket might want to take advantage of lower crowds at Magic Kingdom during the day and then plan to hop to another park after the early closing.
Magic Kingdom usually closes each year on or around this date for its annual Cast Member Service Celebration, a special event to honor cast members. With the park closing so early, touring plans will have to be cut short, and there will not be an opportunity to see evening entertainment like Happily Ever After or the Disney Starlight Parade on this particular evening. So make sure to keep these considerations in mind when selecting your park dates.
Ultimately, this date may be better suited for visiting another park. Of course, if you do have the hopper or don’t mind cutting your day short, it’s a prime day to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth. Most guests will not want to burn a ticket here if they can’t redeem it for a full day’s experience. Of course, I don’t blame them, but as an annual passholder, I would consider this a great day to stop in and take advantage of lower waits and crowds.
