A Maximum Occupancy Change is Happening at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness in 2026

Disney has announced a change to the maximum occupancy for The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness in 2026. Anyone who arrives on January 1, 2026, or later will be allowed a maximum of 8 guests. This is a change from the current maximum occupancy of 10 guests. Here is the statement from Walt Disney World regarding the change:
Beginning with arrivals on January 1, 2026, the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will be updated to be booked for a maximum of 8 guests. This represents a change from the 2025 policy, which allows for a maximum of 10 guests per campsite.

In other news, resort hotel room availability is now available through October 31, 2026. In case you missed it, Disney is offering a special free dining for kids offer throughout 2026 that will be able to be paired with select other discounts as they’re released, subject to availability. Accommodations for November and October will be released at a later date.
If you’re planning to book for 2025, a couple of offers are still available. You can preview them on our page dedicated to special offers at Disney World in 2025. We’ve started a new timeline here for 2026 hotel offers and discounts that we’ll update as they become available. While there are no guarantees, it’s nice to reference the previous year’s offer dates to have an idea of how Disney operates when it comes to releasing special offers.
We also shared a 2025 Star Wars Day Foodie Guide for Disney World earlier today. It includes treats and merchandise items celebrating May 4th, including a Death Star popcorn bucket and a Jawa sipper cup.
