New Refurbishment Notices Posted for Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Through October 2025
Last year, Disney announced that the Beach and Yacht Club Resort would undergo a refurbishment at the start of 2025. So far, the refurbishment has included new roofing, siding, and extensive exterior work at both resorts. Stormalong Bay, the resort’s shared featured pool area, also closed in January for a significant refurbishment that included draining its water and resurfacing, among other things. As of publish time, the pool refurbishment is scheduled to last through June 2025. An exact opening date has not been provided.
A few days ago, Disney began emailing guests with upcoming resort stays about an additional area that would be under refurbishment in the coming months. The notice is now posted on both the Beach and Yacht Club’s websites. Here is the exact wording.
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will be undergoing routine exterior maintenance from early July through October 2025. During this time, the porte cochere will be closed. While efforts will be made to minimize disruptions, construction may be noticeable during daytime hours. All services—including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation—will remain available, and most Resort amenities will continue to be offered.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort will be undergoing routine exterior maintenance from early June through September 2025. During this time, the porte cochere will be closed. All services—including valet, luggage assistance, and transportation—will remain available, and most Resort amenities will continue to be offered.
This work is already underway as of this week at Disney’s Beach Club.

You may recall that Disney’s Beach Club underwent a major interior update in 2023, resulting in updated rooms and new lobby furnishings. We have a before-and-after photo post here of the Beach Club’s 2023 refurbishment.
At this time, room updates are also taking place on the Yacht Club side of the resort. Room updates, however, are often less noticeable because they are done one floor at a time. As for the exterior construction at the front of the resort, it will be evident when coming and going from the resort’s bus stops.
