Now Open: New Entrance at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
A new entrance has opened at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The new entrance is located on Seven Seas Drive, past the resort’s former entrance. At this time, guests must make a right turn off of Seven Seas Drive (when traveling West) to turn into the new Polynesian entrance.
As a reference, we usually take World Drive to Seven Seas Drive and turn left. Then, we take a right into the Polynesian. If you’re visiting in the near future, you’ll want to follow that same route. The only difference is that the new resort entrance and guard shack will be further down on the right, just before you reach Floridian Way.
In recent years, signage has directed guests to Floridian Way, where they have an option to take a right onto Seven Seas Lagoon, and then take a left into the Polynesian. With the current new entrance setup, it doesn’t appear that you’ll be able to take a left into the Polynesian. From our understanding, that will change in the future as the Floridian Way construction project develops.
If you’re driving to the Polynesian, you’ll want to be mindful of these changes and allow extra time. To park at any of the Magic Kingdom area resorts, Disney typically requires guests to have a hotel reservation at the resort or a current table service dining reservation at one of its restaurants.

Additionally, with this change, the bus stop has moved to the resort’s port cochere as construction work begins on the former bus stop. As a reminder, this work is included in the resort’s current refurbishment notice, which reads:
From May 2025 through 2026, some areas of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are being refurbished. This work includes the reconfiguration of the front entrance roadway and bus area. While construction activity will be noticeable during daytime hours, efforts will be made to minimize disruptions. All Resort dining, pools and amenities will remain available. Additionally, some views of the theme parks and other surrounding areas may be impacted. Please allow for extra travel time when arriving at or leaving the Resort.
