Stained Glass Panels Added to Lobby Birdcage Bar at Disney’s Grand Floridian
Over the weekend, we had the opportunity to stop by Disney’s Grand Floridian and saw that the lobby’s birdcage bar was a little more complete than it was on our last visit. As soon as we walked through the main entrance, the glowing stained glass panels underneath the bar’s crown molding were apparent.

Of course, we first stopped to smell the roses of the lobby’s stunning floral arrangement. It’s always nice to find our hidden Mickey.

The piano player was entertaining guests, and the lobby felt fresher than ever.

We’ll take a closer look at those panels.

They add a soft glow to the dark wood tones of the bar.

It wasn’t terribly busy this afternoon, so I was able to take a few more photos of some of the newer seating arrangements. If you missed it, we did a more extensive photo update of the lobby earlier this month. That article offers pictures of the new staircase, the carpet, and the check-in area.

Here’s another new seating area.

We took a few photos from the second floor before we left to board the monorail.

I’m not sure what all is left to be completed, but it seems like everything is moving along on schedule.

Here is one final look.

Overall, the Grand Floridian’s lobby is turning out nicely. While everything is new, the space retains its traditional look and feel. I think most will be pleased by the outcome.
