‘Get Animated’ with Surprise Character Appearances at Disney’s Hollywood Studios This Summer
The fun doesn’t stop at Magic Kingdom and Epcot for Disney World’s Cool Kid Summer. Guests can join in the celebration with ‘Get Animated’ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, featuring surprise character appearances and other kid-centric activities! This limited-time summer promotion will be available between May 27th and September 1st. So, whether you’re kicking off the start of summer at Disney or wrapping things up with a tail-end visit (or anywhere in between), you’ll be able to participate in the fun at all four parks. Here are the details for Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Get Animated at Animation Courtyard
Per Disney, guests can jump into the fun at Animation Courtyard. This special area will offer games and crafts designed to keep kids moving and creating throughout the day. You’ll find magicians, jump rope performers, and the best of all–surprise character appearances!
You can continue the party when you step inside Get Animated, a special summer experience hosted inside the Disney Jr. Play and Dance! building at the back of Animation Courtyard. Guests can join Mickey Mouse and other Disney Junior friends for an indoor DJ dance party.
Per the Walt Disney World website: Disney Jr. Play and Dance! will be temporarily unavailable beginning May 25. Enjoy ‘Get Animated’ at this location beginning May 27. For all available entertainment offerings, please visit the My Disney Experience App.

- “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” – Step into the reflective world of the Magic Mirror as Disney’s most infamous baddies take center stage in a show that’s as wickedly fun as it is spellbinding.
- “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” – Dive into a breathtaking retelling of the beloved animated film featuring fan-favorite songs, stunning visuals, and theatrical magic.
