How to Use Disney’s Airport Luggage Transfer Service
When my son was growing up, we flew to Disney World anywhere from 3 to 5 times a year. The only exception was when we drove down for longer stays, which typically were during the summer months. Back then, Disney offered a complimentary service called the Magical Express that delivered us to and from the airport. Not only did that service get us to our hotel, but it also took care of our luggage.
All we had to do was check our luggage at the airport, and it would show up at our resort hotel later that day. It worked the same way on departures. Sadly, these services ended in 2020, but one has returned: Airport Luggage Transfer. In this guide, we’ll explain how the Airport Luggage Transfer service works, including which resorts and airlines participate, how to use the service, and answer some of the most frequently asked questions.

What is Airport Luggage Transfer Service?
Disney’s Airport Luggage Transfer service offers a convenient way to handle your luggage when traveling between the airport and your Disney Resort. As discussed above, the service is not new, but after being unavailable for some time, it has returned with a few eligibility requirements.
The service is available at participating Disney Resort hotels and for guests flying with select participating airlines. ALT works in both directions, meaning those eligible can use the service when arriving at Disney World and departing for the airport at the end of your stay.
Overall, it eliminates the majority of dealing with your luggage while traveling. This means you don’t have to find the luggage carousel at the airport and watch for your suitcases. You won’t have to make the trek to your car rental or rideshare with luggage in tow. On your checkout day, you won’t have to retrieve your luggage from bell services and load it on a bus or cram everything into your rental car. You won’t even see your luggage until you land at your home airport. It truly simplifies the travel process.
Which Disney Resorts Participate in Airport Luggage Transfer?
Now that you have a general idea of what this service provides. You’ll want to know that Airport Luggage Transfer is not currently available at every Disney Resort. The service is part of a long-term test pilot program. At the time of this update, it’s available at the following hotels:
