Kali River Rapids Closing for Refurbishment This October
It’s no secret that Kali River Rapids usually closes for refurbishment during the cooler months. Traditionally, those dates fall early in the year, after the holiday crowds have gone and the parks begin to slow down. This year, however, the water ride’s refurbishment is scheduled a bit earlier than usual. Disney has announced that Kali River Rapids will close in early October. Here’s the official notice from the Walt Disney World website:
Kali River Rapids will be temporarily closed for refurbishment beginning October 6, 2025, and is expected to reopen in December 2025.

Today’s refurbishment notice for Kali River Rapids is likely connected to those upcoming closures, which were announced at the same time.
