Leisure Pool Refurbishment Continues at Disney’s Old Key West (Moves to Turtle Pond Pool)
Walt Disney World has announced that the Turtle Pond Pool at Disney’s Old Key West will close for routine maintenance between early January and early February 2026. This follows the work completed in November at the Miller’s Road Pool. The Turtle Pond Pool sits toward the center of the resort. This pool is closest to buildings 30 through 44. Here is the official announcement from the Walt Disney World website:
From early January through early Feb. 2026, the Turtle Pond Pool, Turtle Pond Pool Spa, the BBQ area and the playground at Disney’s Old Key West Resort will be closed for routine maintenance. During this time, Guests are encouraged to use the Sandcastle Pool or one of the resort’s other two leisure pools – the South Point Pool and Miller’s Road Pool. Guests may see or hear maintenance activity in the area during daytime hours.

We have a map of Disney’s Old Key West if you would like to see the other resort pool locations. The South Point Road Pool will be the closest leisure pool within walking distance. The next closest pool will be the resort’s feature pool, the Sandcastle Pool. Since Old Key West is a vast resort, you might want to use the resort’s bus service to get to and from the pool of your choice. You can take any theme park bus to Hospitality House to get to the feature pool. We always recommend confirming with the bus driver whether or not they will stop at the main lobby before exiting the resort. If you would like to learn more about the resort’s pools, we have a complete overview with photos of the pools at Disney’s Old Key West.
