The Diamond Horseshoe To Close Temporarily for Cool Kid Summer at Magic Kingdom
Walt Disney World has announced that the Diamond Horseshoe will temporarily close in mid-May to prepare for the opening of Jessie’s Roundup, a limited-time summer offering. You may remember that earlier this year, Disney announced the return of Cool Kid Summer in 2026, a summer promotion offering limited-time magic throughout the summer months.
Jessie’s Roundup was originally announced earlier this year. To date, we know that this fun summer stop will offer the opportunity to mingle with favorite pals from Toy Story, like Jessie, Woody, and friends. Inside, guests will find crafts, a dance floor, and more! Here is the official announcement for the Diamond Horseshoe’s closure, which is expected to resume dining service in the Fall.
Beginning May 16, 2026, The Diamond Horseshoe will temporarily end table-service dining in preparation for Jessie’s Roundup during Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. Dining service is expected to resume fall 2026.

The Diamond Horseshoe is a table service dining location in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square. This venue is next to Liberty Tree Tavern and typically offers the same menu items. However, the menu items (in name) have a slight twist to separate the patriotic and wild west theming. So if you were hoping to enjoy a meal at the Diamond Horseshoe this summer, you’ll want to secure reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern.
I don’t know about you, but we’re excited to check out this new character experience! Make sure to check back with Resorts Gal for more updates!
