Refurbishment Scheduled for South Point Pool at Disney’s Old Key West

Walt Disney World has announced that the South Point Pool, BBQ area, and playground at Disney’s Old Key West will be closed from now through late April of 2026 for routine maintenance. This follows the brief refurbishment of the Turtle Pond pool area, and before that, the Miller’s Road Pool temporarily closed for maintenance. The South Point Pool sits toward the back of the resort. It is closest to buildings 45-55. The closest pool to this area is the Turtle Pond Pool, which has reopened. Here is the official announcement from the Walt Disney World website.

Now through late April 2026, the South Point Pool and Spa, BBQ area, and playground at Disney’s Old Key West Resort will be closed for routine maintenance. During this time, Guests may see or hear maintenance activity during daytime hours and are encouraged to use the Sandcastle Pool or one of the resort’s other two leisure pools – the Turtle Pond Pool and Miller’s Road Pool.

We have a map of Disney’s Old Key West that shows the location of each of the resort’s pools. After the Turtle Pond Pool, the next closest pool will be the resort’s feature pool, the Sandcastle Pool. Since Old Key West is a vast resort, you might want to use the resort’s bus service to get to and from the pool of your choice. You can take any theme park bus to Hospitality House to get to the feature pool. We always recommend confirming with the bus driver whether or not they will stop at the main lobby before exiting the resort.
