Fun Props Available at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for Guests to Take a Keepsake Photo
If you have plans to visit Disney’s Contemporary Resort in the near future, you might check to see if a few photo props are available in the resort’s lobby. We found these props right inside the front entrance on our last visit. A cast member noted that they were both somewhat newer.
The first option is a square cutout with Mickey Mouse standing in front of the resort with a vibrant sunshine peeking out from behind it. Toward the bottom, it says, “Greetings from Disney’s Contemporary Resort.” This prop matches the resort-branded merchandise collection that debuted last year. The design makes for a fun family photo. Of course, you probably won’t find a PhotoPass photographer in the lobby. But I imagine that most cast members would be more than happy to help take a photo with your personal device.
The other option was a first-visit photo frame. Across the top, it reads “1st Visit to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.” The bottom features the resort’s logo and monorail red. The rest of the frame features some of the Mary Blair artwork patterns that are prominent throughout the resort. It matches the column that it’s propped against in the photo below.
These types of photo props are available at select resorts, theme parks, and a few restaurants. To me, it’s one of those things that you kind of just happen upon. I like them because you can always zoom in on the image in a couple of years to remember exactly where you were when you took the photo. You’ll think, “Oh, that was the day we had breakfast at Chef Mickey’s!” or “Wow, it’s been five years since we stayed at the Contemporary?”
