Epcot’s Spaceship Earth to Welcome Guests Again in Late October
Disney has confirmed that Spaceship Earth will officially reopen on October 25, 2025. Epcot’s iconic attraction, housed inside a geodesic sphere, will have been closed for two months when it reopens to the public. You may remember that it closed back on August 25th. Per Disney, this was just a routine refurbishment. Given that the attraction only experienced two months of downtime, it is highly unlikely that any significant changes were made. We know that many of our regular readers have anticipated a full overhaul of the ride for some time now. That said, when the ride returns, guests will once again be able to embark on a journey through the history of human communication.
Spaceship Earth is truly one of the most recognizable and classic experiences at Walt Disney World. The current version of the ride features a narration by Academy Award winner Judi Dench and Emmy winner Bruce Broughton, conducted by a 63-piece orchestra and a 24-voice choir for the ride’s musical score. We’ll be glad to see this one back on the books and hope for an incredible refurbishment in the future!

A few other rides are currently under refurbishment as well. For a complete overview, see our list of ride refurbishments in all four theme parks. Check back with Resorts Gal soon for more news and updates.
