Extended Evening Hours Shift to Hollywood Studios This Fall (2024)

Throughout the first half of the year, we typically see extended evening hours for deluxe and deluxe villa resort guests offered at Epcot on Monday evenings and at Magic Kingdom on Wednesday evenings. However, during the Fall, we usually see a change of schedule, as extended evening hours shift to both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

As of today, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is listed in the My Disney Experience app as offering extended theme park hours on September 25th. At this time, those hours are scheduled between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. We anticipate seeing more of this offering at Hollywood Studios (and hopefully Disney’s Animal Kingdom) between September 25th and the end of the year.

As your vacation approaches, you will want to check the schedule for these hours and plan your park days accordingly. The easiest way is to open the My Disney Experience app and scroll down to Park Hours and Info. Then, swipe the calendar until you reach your dates. Typically, the calendar shows 60-70 days out. When you highlight the specific date, you can scroll down to each park to see any extra offerings. Here are a few screenshots of what to look for.

Regarding eligibility, this resort benefit is for guests of deluxe or deluxe villa resorts. On these select evenings, guests can remain in the park for up to two hours after closing. Be aware that valid theme park admission is required to enter the park.

As always, those eligible for this benefit might want to pair these evenings with a partial resort day, slower morning, or midday break. Guests with park hopper tickets can begin the day in one park and hop to the park offering Extended Evening hours later if they like. That said, if you do not have a park hopper ticket and are eligible for this benefit, you would need to plan your day at the park that’s offering Extended Evening Hours. If you don’t want to spend the entire day in the park, you can always leave and return later.

We always try to take advantage of this deluxe and deluxe villa resort benefit whenever we’re eligible. Extended Evening Hours often mean lighter crowds and shorter waits for most attractions. It is a rare treat these days to be able to visit Hollywood Studios for a late evening!
