Disney Testing Virtual Queue for Zoogether Day Gathering Spot
This morning, on our way to the passholder preview for Zootopia: Better Zoogether at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we noticed that the Zoogether Day Gathering Spot had soft opened. This location will be home to the Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps meet-and-greet. It’s scheduled to officially open with the attraction on November 7, 2025.
After our preview, we walked back to the new Gathering Spot to join the line. At the entrance, a cast member pointed us to join another line where they were taking guests contact information to join a virtual queue for the new meet-and-greet. We waited for approximately five minutes and then gave our information for the queue. We were asked for our first name, last name, and a mobile number. After providing the details, the cast member asked us to confirm that we’d received a notification text. She then told us that we’d would receive a text to return and join the line in about an hour.

We’ll report back later about how the test process goes and specifics of the new character meet and greet. For reference, the Zoogether Day Gathering Spot is located in the former Wilderness Explorer’s Clubhouse where Russell and Dug met. They have relocated to a new location on the Discovery Island Trails.

In the meantime, if you’re visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom, be on the lookout for this meet-and-greet virtual queue. We think it’s an incredible idea and are happy to be writing this blog post in a more serene setting in the park rather than waiting in line for an hour or more to meet someone. However, keep in mind that this is only a test, and is not guaranteed.
