Where to Meet Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
What’s this? Are you telling me you can meet Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party? Yes, this is the only place to meet Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws at Walt Disney World. He meets here alongside Sally from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Below, we’ll discuss how to meet Sandy Claws and Sally at the Christmas Party. Most importantly, you’ll want to know that this meet-and-greet is exclusive to party guests. You must purchase a ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to be able to enter the line for this special character greeting.
Update: Disney has announced that Santa Jack and Sally will return in 2025. Jack will have an updated look this holiday season.

Sandy Claws and Sally meet inside Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom during the party. Guests who have purchased a ticket for the party can enter the park with their party ticket as early as 4:00 p.m. Most of the meet-and-greets at the party will not begin until 7:00 p.m. However, given the popularity of Sandy Claws and Sally, Disney usually allows guests to form a line starting at 4:00 p.m. The pair usually begins meeting guests at 4:30 p.m.
But there’s one catch. You have to have a party wristband to join the line. Therefore, you’ll need to go through the turnstiles again to receive your band or visit one of the wristband distribution centers set up inside the park. Unfortunately, a massive line of guests is waiting to enter the park at 4:00 p.m. So, no matter how you look at it, you will have a long wait if you get in line to meet Jack and Sally first.
We have tried this a couple of ways over the years. If you join the line outside Magic Kingdom to enter the party an hour early, you’ll be among the first to get in line for the meet-and-greet. But you’ve still waited an hour, and you’ll still have to wait for another half-hour minimum to meet them.
I’ve also tried to do it from the standpoint of already being inside the park and picking up a wristband elsewhere. Unfortunately, you’ll probably still have to wait in line (it won’t be as long as the monstrosity outside the park), but you’ll then have to double back to the front of the park. Town Square Theater is the first building on the right when you enter the park. By that time, a long line will have formed ahead of you. So you’re still probably looking at an hour to a 1.5-hour wait.
Your other option is to wait until later in the party and hope the line drops. This is typically your best-case scenario for a shorter line, but you’ve somewhat left it up to chance. We like to get this meet-and-greet out of the way early to prioritize other character meet-and-greets when the party starts. So consider these examples, your party priorities, and your commitment to stand in line. If we get in line for a character meet-and-greet, we stick with it.
These rare party characters like Jack and Sally are a one-shot rodeo for most guests. You won’t find them anywhere else, and you’ll likely only attend one night of the party. If getting that coveted family photo with this pair is on your must-do list, form a plan to meet them ahead of time.

Sandy Claws and Sally are an endearing couple to meet. They take their time talking with each guest and pose for a couple of photos. A PhotoPass photographer is available at this meet-and-greet.

Given their popularity, Sandy Claws and Sally do not sign autographs at this location. This helps cut some of the extra time. A cast member will provide an autograph card before you enter the meet-and-greet.

Jack Skellington and Sally also have a meet-and-greet at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Jack wears his usual black-and-white pinstripe suit at that meet-and-greet. That meet-and-greet has a unique Halloween-themed backdrop. Try this article: Meet Jack Skellington and Sally at Mickey’s Halloween Party.
