Mickey and Minnie Mouse at Adventurer’s Outpost in Their Holiday Best
If you’re visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom during the holiday season, you’ll have the opportunity to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their holiday best at Adventurer’s Outpost. Traditionally, Adventurer’s Outpost is the only place to meet the pair together at Walt Disney World. Of course, over the years, they’ve made limited-time appearances together in other parks to celebrate special occasions.
This year’s holiday season begins on November 14th, which is when the pair should transition from regular safari suits to an added holiday flair. Mickey usually wears a red shirt with a holiday scarf and plaid ribbon around his safari hat. Minnie typically wears a vibrant red holiday scarf to add just the right amount of holiday cheer to her already fun outfit.
Adventurer’s Outpost is located on Discovery Island, to the right side of the Tree of Life. It will be on the right before you reach the bridge to Asia. You can expect long waits throughout most of the day for this popular character meet-and-greet. Here are a few photos from last year’s meet-and-greet so you’ll know what to expect.

Check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for their exact locations and times. Here are the instructions on how to use the app to find characters.
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.
