Meet Pluto in The Oasis at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Pluto meets guests daily at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in The Oasis toward the front of the park. He meets intermittently throughout the day at this location. He formerly met at Donald’s Dino-Bash behind Chester and Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures. That area of the park has now permanently closed. If you’ve been following along with our character coverage, you know this is one of many character location changes in the park.

Below, we’ll discuss the specifics for meeting Pluto at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. However, it is important to note that Animal Kingdom is undergoing major construction for the next few years. We’ve seen many character locations shift and expect more. While we try to keep our character guides as updated as possible, things could and will likely change. So make sure you see our section below on how to use the app to locate characters.

Pluto’s meet-and-greet in the Oasis is pretty easy to find. For reference, the Oasis is the area between the ticket entry at the front of the park and the opening where the Tree of Life first comes into view. Pluto’s meet-and-greet is immediately in front of the suspension bridge on the walkway that joins both sides of the Oasis.

If you arrive early, it might be a little difficult to locate. I would suggest standing to the right of the bridge if a line has not already formed.

Pluto was excited to see us when it was our turn to meet him. He’s always full of energy.

Pluto wears a Wilderness Explorer’s scarf with badges at this location. He is an autograph-signing character, and a PhotoPass photographer was present on the day of our visit.

It is important to check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for a character’s exact locations and times. We’ve added the instructions and corresponding screenshot guide below to help you plan.

How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App

• Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
• Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
• After selecting characters, use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
• Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
• Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
• As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.

*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.
