Johari Treasures at Disney’s Kidani Village

Nestled inside the lobby of Kidani Village sits a quaint shop known as Johari Treasures. Serving as the gift shop for Kidani Village, a Disney Vacation Club Resort, the store carries a variety of sundries, among other things.

Inside, you’ll find items like resort-branded merchandise, souvenirs, sundries, and groceries. Below, we’ve provided an overview of what you’ll typically find at Johari Treasures. We’ve also linked to our most recent merchandise report so you can preview photos of the items. This gift shop is open most days from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. You will, however, want to check the exact hours in the My Disney Experience app during your visit. They could fluctuate based on the season.

Johari means “jewel” in Swahili, and I think most will agree this gift shop is a bit of a hidden gem. While it is a small store, it often more than fits the bill. We love to stop in and browse.

🛍️ What You’ll Find at Johari Treasures

Here is an overview of what you’ll find at Johari Treasures.

Apparel

This shop often has a decent selection of men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel. They also have a selection of the latest Disney Vacation Club-branded merchandise and clothing items. If you cannot find what you’re looking for, you might walk or take the shuttle to the neighboring Jambo House. Their gift shop, Zawadi Marketplace, is significantly larger and often offers more apparel items.

Souvenirs and Resort-Branded Merchandise

The gift shop usually has a decent selection of souvenirs and some resort-branded merchandise. In general, Animal Kingdom Lodge doesn’t have as many offerings featuring the resort’s logo as some of the other resort hotels. That said, they always have a few nice items, especially hats. I purchased a resort magnet here a while back, and it’s become one of my favorite souvenirs.

Groceries and Beverages

Here are a few grocery items that are typically available:

• Individual bottled Water, Soft Drinks, Juice, etc.
• Wine and Beer (available to guests 21+)
• Packaged Snacks (Chips, Granola Bars, Crackers, Cereal)
• Bread (Loaf Bread, Donuts, Pastries)
• Disney-branded Candy
• Refrigerated items (Milk, Juice, Yogurt, Sandwich Meat)
• Microwavable Meals, Frozen Pizza, Frozen Waffles, Etc

You can preview the photos below for an idea of what to expect. Since Kidani Village is a Disney Vacation Club, all of the units will have a microwave at the very least in a deluxe studio. Larger units will have full-size kitchens.

Health and Personal Care

Expect to find items like:

• Over-the-Counter Medications (Tylenol, Allergy Relief, etc.)
• Sunscreen and Aloe
• Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Razors, and Hygiene Products
• Baby essentials like Diapers, Wipes, Baby Food, Etc.

Seasonal Merchandise

Throughout the year, you’ll find seasonal items that are not limited to the following:

• Holidays (Halloween, Christmas, etc.)
• The latest special collections, trends, or collaborations.
