Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort Bus Guide (Schedule, Stops, and Average Times)

Disney’s Fort Wilderness is a behemoth of a resort with many bus stops scattered throughout. Given the resort’s size, it offers an extensive internal bus system. So, upon arrival, you’ll want to locate the bus stop nearest your accommodations. You’ll board an internal bus from that bus stop to reach one of the resort’s two primary bus stops. From there, you’ll transfer to your destination.

For starters, you’ll need to travel to the Settlement bus stop near Pioneer Hall to catch a bus to Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Once you reach the Settlement bus stop, you also have the option to walk to the boat dock and take a boat to Magic Kingdom. (After 3:00 p.m., an additional boat service is available to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.)

If you’re traveling to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the water parks, or Disney Springs, you’ll take an internal bus to the Outpost and board a transfer bus to any of those destinations.

It’s important to know that Fort Wilderness shares a bus service with Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Here’s the order of the bus stops:

  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Fort Wilderness (The Settlement)
  • Magic Kingdom

On the return trip from Magic Kingdom, you’ll stop at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge first.

Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness also share a bus service to Epcot. It follows this order:

  • Disney’s Fort Wilderness (The Outpost)
  • Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Epcot

For this route, you’ll stop at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge on the way to Epcot.

*Extra buses usually service both resorts first thing in the morning when more guests travel to the parks. So, you might not always have that extra stop.
