The Resorts Gal Guide to
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, located in the Magic Kingdom area of Walt Disney World, offers a unique experience for guests who want to camp or stay in a cabin.
Fort Wilderness is 750 acres and features four types of campsites, each accommodating anything from a 45-foot RV to tents. Each campsite offers electricity and cable hookups. Campsites also offer a charcoal grill and picnic table. Some sites have a sewer hook-up and allow pets.
In 2024, the cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness will become part of the Disney Vacation Club program. We’ll have more updates for the resort later this year. The cabins are scheduled to open beginning July 1, 2024.
