New Refurbishment Announcement for Disney’s BoardWalk Indicates Work Throughout 2026
A new refurbishment notice for Disney’s BoardWalk Resort has been posted. This is in addition to existing announcements for the resort. Per the announcement, the BoardWalk will undergo refurbishments in select areas starting in late November 2025. The work is expected to continue throughout 2026. An end date has not been posted. During this time, guests might notice some construction during the day, but amenities like dining, recreation, and the gift shops will remain open. Here is the official notice from Disney.
Beginning late November 2025 and continuing throughout 2026, refurbishment work will take place in select areas of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. While Guests may see or hear work during daytime hours, most Resort amenities—including dining, recreation, and merchandise locations—will remain available.
No scope of work has been noted for this work at publish time. That said, you may recall that several shops and other venues on the Boardwalk have closed in recent years, leaving several vacancies. The most recent being the closure of the Promenade Fine Art Gallery. Time will tell what this new refurbishment work entails.
In addition to this announcement, Disney previously shared that the Luna Park Pool and the surrounding recreation area at Disney’s BoardWalk would close for routine maintenance in early 2027.
