Disney’s Boardwalk’s Feature Pool, Play Area, and Pool Bar to Close for Routine Maintenance in 2027

Walt Disney World has announced that the feature pool area at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas will close between January 11th and April 2027. An exact reopening date has not been announced. The feature pool area includes the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations, the pool bar. Here is the official announcement from Walt Disney World.

From January 11, 2027, to April 2027, the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see and hear construction until the work is complete.

During the closure, guests will have access to the resort’s two quiet pools. One is located on the Inn side of the resort, while the Community Hall pool is located near the villas wing. We have a separate photo post with details of all the pools at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.

If you have plans to visit during these dates and will likely use the pool, you might consider another resort. We consider the Boardwalk to be one of our top choices for kid-friendly pools at Disney World. The Keister Coaster water slide (a slide that looks like a wooden roller coaster) is one of the best features around. Unfortunately, it won’t be available since the feature pool is closed. Of course, this notice has been posted fairly early, so you’ll have some time to decide.
