Breaking: Disney Announces the Return of the Garden View Lounge
Walt Disney World has announced that the Garden View Lounge will reopen at Disney’s Grand Floridian! In an announcement on the Disney Parks Blog about the new lobby bar’s opening date, Disney noted that they were preparing to reopen the Garden View Lounge in early 2026. Here’s what Disney has to say about the reopening.
“We may be putting the finishing touches on the lobby, but the story doesn’t end there. In early 2026, The Garden View Lounge will reopen with a refreshed look that complements the new lobby design. The space will offer a new tea experience with whimsical Disney touches for guests of all ages.“
You may remember the lounge closed in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 closures. When the resort reopened later, the tea room didn’t return. Since then, the resort has undergone an extensive renovation, resulting in new rooms, enhanced dining experiences, and now a new lobby area.

I don’t know about you, but we’re happy to hear this news! The tea room was quite popular before its closure, and many wondered if it would ever return. Since this announcement, we’ve had several updates for the lounge:
