Vacation Fun, an original animated short with Mickey and Minnie, is an attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. The Mickey Short Theater sits near Echo Lake, almost immediately past the Hyperion Theater.
This experience allows guests to watch the short animated film Vacation Fun, where Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse share fond vacation memories. Vacation Fun Short Film
Vacation Fun is an excellent place to take a break during the heat of the day. The cartoon features never-before-seen animation, with the list of shorts we mentioned earlier.
In the cartoon, Mickey and Minnie are doing all the necessary things to prepare for their vacation. Meanwhile, they reminisce about some of Minnie’s favorite vacation memories. During the process, clips from some of the most popular shorts appear.
As a fan of the Mickey Mouse television series cartoons, I loved seeing this version that’s unavailable elsewhere. Sure, it’s a cartoon. So, it is not a big deal if you miss it. But my son and I both enjoyed it. We are also huge fans of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction.
Vacation Short is 10 minutes long. So, the average wait should only be for the next show to begin. You might check out the fun photo opportunity at the theater’s exit when the film is over. You’ll see several life-size props that are perfect for having a family photo made.
There’s even an opportunity to take a picture in front of a prop for Goofy’s dream theme park, Potatoland.
Or maybe you would like to climb a mountain in the Swiss Alps of Yodelberg. Make sure to get just the right angle on this one.
Remember to try to take a picture with the baby panda from Panda-monium. If you’ve seen the short before, you know this baby bear is good at pulling disappearing acts.
If you aren’t familiar with this Disney short series, The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse, created by Paul Rudish, you might catch a couple of episodes on your resort television or Disney+. The series ran for over a decade and featured 121 episodes. Sadly, it ended in 2023 with one final cartoon short to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary.
