The One-Way Path to What’s Left of Dinoland, U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom (November 2025 Update)
If you’re visiting Dinoland, U.S.A. between now and its imminent closure on February 2, 2025, you’ll find a one-way path into the remaining restaurant, character area, and attraction. It’s an odd setup, so I thought we would provide an update and take a look at what to expect. We’ll start our journey on the bridge from Discovery Island.

Here, you would normally walk past the former Trilo-Bites, under the Oldengate Bridge, and the Boneyard Play Area. You may remember that the Boneyard and Dig Site closed permanently in early September. Then, Trilo-Bites soon followed, closing in October. On our visit, Trilo-Bites was sitting just outside the construction wall. However, the Oldengate Bridge and everything beyond it are gone.

A crane looms in the distance. At this point, one would almost think that everything beyond the wall is gone. However, we will soon wind our way around and find a single walkway dividing two separate areas of construction. Here, we’ll be able to walk to the sole remaining portion of Dinoland.

Along the way, you’ll see various concept art pieces featuring the upcoming land, as well as some that represent its attractions.

Turning left (the only way to go) at this wall, we find ourselves on the former path to Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond. I found it a little difficult to get my bearings. In the past, you would be somewhere under Cementosaurus, the giant concrete dinosaur on the outskirts of Chester and Hester’s Dino-Rama (the carnival area) when you reached the area photographed below. For reference, when you look at the photo, we were coming from the far right. I walked out a little bit to get this angle and show the one-way path in and out of the land.

We’ll continue through the maze-like walls.

We saw a mural featuring the Madrigal family. The new land will feature the first-ever Encanto-themed attraction.

We also saw concept art for the changes coming to the DINOSAUR attraction, which will be converted to an Indiana Jones-themed ride.

The Cretaceous Trail remains where a few Dino-Bash characters have meet-and-greets. We will try to get back to the park soon for several character updates. As of now, Donald Duck is meeting a few steps away near Restaurantosaurus. Daisy Duck and Chip and Dale are still meeting on the trail. Goofy and Pluto are meeting in the park, but have moved around a bit. You’ll want to use the My Disney Experience app to locate characters on the day of your visit.

We can see that Dino-Bites Snacks is now permanently closed.

Guests can still enjoy a meal at Restaurantosaurus.

Things at DINOSAUR are pretty much the same.

Once you’re finished, you’ll head back out of the land the same way you entered. When you get to the end of the walls, you’ll take a right to go toward Asia (Finding Nemo, Expedition Everest) or a left to walk back toward the front of the park.
