The Disney Jr. Play and Dance! is Closing – Here’s the Last Day to Visit
The Disney Jr. Play and Dance! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is closing. If you are visiting between now and the closing date, you’ll have the opportunity to experience Get Animated!, a temporary replacement that’s part of the 2025 Cool Kid Summer offering. It will continue through September 24, 2025. All other Cool Kid Summer offerings end on September 1st.
Here is the exact announcement from Disney about the closing:
Disney Jr. Play and Dance! will permanently close on September 25, 2025, to make way for The Walt Disney Studios. Enjoy the ‘Get Animated’ dance party at this location through September 24, 2025. Read the Disney Parks Blog to learn more.
Walt Disney World Website
The Disney Junior Play and Dance is a dance party where fan-favorite Disney Junior characters join the stage, like Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, Roadster Racer Mickey Mouse, and Timon from The Lion Guard.

Here’s what’s coming to Animation Courtyard, which will transition into The Walt Disney Studios.
- Guests can enjoy a refreshed outdoor space that offers shade, landscaping, and places to relax and enjoy a quick snack. (If all goes well, we’ll see more trees, which is a huge win for the area.)
- The Magic of Disney: A brand-new animated adventure will debut in the Star Wars: Launch Bay building in 2026. (Star Wars Launch Bay Closing Announcement)
- Drawn to Wonderland: An all-new indoor playground inspired by Disney Legend Mary Blair’s concept art for Alice in Wonderland.
Hopefully, we’ll see some new character offerings when The Walt Disney Studios area of the park debuts! I’m sure there is much more to learn between now and then! Here’s another look at the initial concept art for the space.
