Photos of the Holiday Touches in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland and Liberty Square
With the holidays in full swing, it seemed like a good time to take a land-by-land photo walk around Magic Kingdom to check out the holiday decorations. We’ll start our walk in Frontierland and Liberty Square, where we found quaint holiday decor that reflected each land’s theme. It was especially nice to see a little more light than usual through the wild West as we rode off into the sunset. Well, in this case, as we walked toward it. You get what I mean.

Frontierland Christmas Decorations
It’s been a couple of years since I took some significant time to photograph Magic Kingdom at Christmastime. I believe that everything in Frontierland is new this year. You may remember that this area of the park also debuted new decorations during the Halloween season.

The simple decorations add a nice touch.

Here are a few more photos of the shops between the Trading Post and Frontier Mercantile.

We see a few changes to the decor around the Prairie Outpost and Supply.

These boughs of garland featured festive burlap, ribbons, and wooden ornaments.

These wooden spools with painted Santa Clauses were pretty unique. They even had leather ties.

The stars and branches helped add to the old-timey look and feel of the area.

The Christmas decorations on Peco Bill’s Tall Tale Inn Cafe were also fun and festive!

They featured old wooden wheels with hubs, spokes, and horses.

Horses were also incorporated into the decorations around Town Hall.

My favorite decorations in this area were the ones toward the end of Pecos Bill, where Frontierland meets Adventureland. Here, we find more of a Southwest-inspired look with vibrant colors, peppers, and sunshine. Yes, those are banana peppers hanging from the garland, among other things.

Here are a few more photos.

Liberty Square
Our next stop is in Liberty Square, we we immediately run into decorations at Sleepy Hollow as soon as we leave the castle hub.

Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe looks the same all year long.

Most of the wreaths in this area of the park feature pretty bows with pink roses and deep red trim.

The Hall of Presidents looked majestic, decked out with handsome boughs and bells.

We saw more garland installed around the Liberty Tree Tavern.

Lastly, the Diamond Horseshoe had brilliant bundles of horseshoes mixed in with the decorations. I was at Magic Kingdom on the evening after these first went up, and I couldn’t figure out what the big circles were supposed to represent.

A few days later, I walked through around sunset, and it became obvious they were horseshoes, which seemed fitting.

That’s when I saw these smaller bunches of horseshoes with faux diamonds.

Overall, the holiday decorations in Liberty Square and Frontierland add to the themed experience of both lands. Next, we’ll take a look at this year’s holiday decorations in Fantasyland, followed by 50+ photos of the 2025 decorations on Main Street U.S.A.
