Lightning Lane Price Increases Explained: Comparing Old vs. New Rates
Your next visit to Walt Disney World is going to be even more expensive, especially if you plan to skip the lines. Disney has raised prices across nearly every corner of the resort. From theme park tickets and parking to dining and popular add-ons like Lightning Lanes, the cost of a Disney vacation continues to soar. While some prices do vary by date and demand, most guests will experience at least a slight increase moving forward.
Lightning Lane pricing, in particular, is reflected by Disney’s date-based model. Prices fluctuate depending on crowd level expectations. They reach their highest price on busier days like Christmas, Easter, or pretty much any time you plan to travel around your kid’s school schedule. Then, prices drop slightly during slower periods. Below, we’ve compared the most recent available increases to the highest rates to date in 2025.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass Price Increases
The chart below shows pricing for each park’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass option. The Max Price Before column reflects the highest price for Lightning Lane Multi Pass between January 1, 2025, and Tuesday, October 7, 2025, which was the day before the price increase. The New Price column reflects today’s price for the same product (October 8, 2025). The fourth column reflects the percentage increase.
Multi Pass LL | Max Price Before | New Price | % Increase |
---|---|---|---|
Magic Kingdom | $39.00 | $45.00 | 15% |
Epcot | $32.00 | $37.00 | 16% |
Hollywood Studios | $35.00 | $39.00 | 11% |
Animal Kingdom | $29.00 | $35.00 | 21% |
Again, allow me to stress that the new price only reflects an increase for one specific date. Prices will likely be even higher on days when more crowds are expected.
What Does this Data Tell Us?
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom saw the largest increase with a 21% upcharge in today’s price versus the rest of the year-to-date. Considering a significant area of the park is under construction, this is somewhat surprising. But with multiple new attractions coming to the park, Disney might just be working to slowly cover the gap between what they currently charge and what they plan or project to charge when the new land opens. Of course, that’s the first thing that comes to mind. Business 101 always reminds us that you can charge more for less or less for more. This could also be that practical “more for less” model.
- Magic Kingdom remains the highest-priced Lightning Lane offering. This is to be expected from the most magical place on earth.
- Across all four parks, we’re seeing a roughly 15 to 16% increase in Disney’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass product.
Lightning Lane Single Pass Price Increases
Similar to the chart above, the next chart shows the same information for Lightning Lane Single Pass attractions. The Max Price Before column reflects the highest price for Lightning Lane Single Pass attractions year to date as of October 7, 2025. The New Price column reflects today’s price for the same product (October 8, 2025). The last column provides the percentage increase.
Single Pass LL | Max Price Before | New Price | % Increase |
---|---|---|---|
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train | $14.00 | $15.00 | 7% |
TRON Lightcycle Run | $22.00 | $23.00 | 5% |
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind | $19.00 | $22.00 | 16% |
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance | $25.00 | $25.00 | 0 |
Avatar: Flight Of Passage | $18.00 | $19.00 | 6% |
Once more, note that the new price only reflects an increase for today’s specific date. Prices fluctuate daily, but we expect a new range to be established compared to the last 16 months.
A Few Standouts
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which rose 16%, signals the high demand for the park’s most popular attraction.
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance holds steady. While this ride didn’t see a price increase, it remains the most expensive Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Walt Disney World.
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train just keeps on trucking. I really don’t know what else you can say about a nearly 12-year-old attraction that continues to pull double-digit prices every day, warranting a Single Pass Lightning Lane.
Final Thoughts
The moral of the story is simple. Most guests don’t want to wait in line, and they’re clearly willing to pay a premium to skip them. With Lightning Lane prices continuing to climb, demand doesn’t appear to be slowing. On another note, we haven’t seen any adjustments to the cost of the Disney Premier Pass option yet, but given the current trend, it wouldn’t be surprising if changes eventually follow.
