Mickey’s PhilharMagic to Close for Brief Refurbishment in November

Disney has announced that Mickey’s PhilharMagic will close for a multi-week routine refurbishment this November. The attraction will close beginning November 1st. Per the Walt Disney World website, it is expected to reopen on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Here is the official statement from Disney.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic will be temporarily closed beginning November 1 for routine refurbishment and is expected to reopen later in the month.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a 12-minute, 3D attraction starring Donald Duck. It is part of Fantasyland and sits behind Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom. PhilharMagic is an endearing attraction, and not the worst place to take a break on a busy afternoon in the park when wait times are skyrocketing everywhere else.

In case you missed it, the following Magic Kingdom attractions are also closed for lengthy refurbishments:

• Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: Closed since early January 2025. This attraction is expected to reopen in 2026. (Announcement)
• Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Gift Shop: This attraction closed in August of 2025. It is also expected to reopen sometime in 2026. (Announcement)
• While not closed, the Walt Disney World Railroad is operating on a reduced schedule, shuttling guests between Main Street USA and Fantasyland. It will likely remain on that schedule for some time to come as Piston Peak, a new Cars-themed area and a Villains-themed Land are added to the park.
