Now Serving Guests! The Perch Lobby Bar Opens at Disney’s Grand Floridian
The Perch, the new lobby bar at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, has officially opened to guests. You may remember that Disney announced a few days ago that the bar would officially open on November 10, 2025. We were having dinner next door at Wailulu Bar and Grill yesterday evening at Disney’s Polynesian and decided to walk over and check things out when we heard it had soft opened.
We decided to take the path that leads to the Grand Floridian’s main entrance. I wanted to see how the bar looked as soon as you first entered the building. We felt the magnitude of the bar’s presence in the lobby before we even walked through the sliding glass doors.
It was nice to see the lobby alive with guests. It might be difficult to tell from the photos, but the lobby was packed.
We had other plans for the evenings, so our visit was fairly short.
It was nice to see the finished look of the lobby bar. It was difficult to get photos because so many guests were waiting in line. Here is a look at some of the finishing touches.
The stained glass windows we saw hints of earlier this week, around the tea room, were curtained from view. Disney has announced that the Garden View Lounge will reopen in 2026.
While I was taking everything in, I noticed this Grand Floridian logo. I’m not sure if I just never noticed it or if it has always been in this spot. It is fairly subtle.
Here’s a view from the back side of the lobby. The picture below shows the only real issue I saw with the finished look. There were numerous wide open spaces in the lobby. Hopefully, they’ll add a few more sets of furniture in the coming weeks to get the balance right.
I try to always take the time to look up.
It is a beautiful lobby.
