Pool Expansion Coming to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground
Walt Disney World has announced that a brand new zero-entry pool and deck area is in the process of being added to the existing pool area. Per Disney, it will double the space guests have to enjoy. In addition to the new feature swimming pool, the area will offer new tennis courts and two pickleball courts. You may remember that a few months back, a construction notice was posted, stating that work would take place near the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. That work began back in May.

As far as the new pool’s completion at Fort Wilderness, the current refurbishment notice does not offer an end date. Here is the exact wording from Disney’s site.
Beginning early May 2025, construction will take place near the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool area. The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool will remain open for Guests to enjoy. Guests using bus transportation should follow posted signage to reach the pool area.
Update: Disney has since provided an update with an estimation of a mid-2026 completion date for the new Fort Wilderness pool area expansion. We visited Fort Wilderness back in October for a look at the progress.
