Promenade Fine Art Gallery Officially Closed at Disney’s BoardWalk

During our recent stay at Disney’s BoardWalk, we noticed that the Promenade Fine Art Gallery had permanently closed. This is one of many closures we’ve seen on the Boardwalk over the last few years. Formerly known as the Wyland Gallery, the shop was renamed the Promenade Art Gallery a few years ago. From our understanding, they plan to open in a new location at some point in the future. No details or dates for that location have been announced to date.

You may recall that Big River Grille and Brewing Works, the resort’s former casual table-service restaurant, closed in January 2024. This was a popular location with indoor and outdoor dining options that took walk-ups.

Then, earlier this year, Jellyrolls, a bar home to Dueling Pianos, closed. They also announced plans to reopen at a new location in the area. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen any confirmation of a new location as of publication time. Their website here states that they are temporarily closed.

Disney’s BoardWalk has undergone extensive renovations in recent years. We have a timeline that features some of the changes that happened between 2023 and 2024. During that process, a few new dining locations opened at the resort, including the Cake Bake Shop Restaurant and Bakery and Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, a stand that replaced the former To-Go Cart. The resort’s primary gift shop was also recently refurbished in 2025.

We are sad to see the closure of the Promenade Art Gallery, but are hopeful that these shuttered spaces will bring new life to the BoardWalk. It’s such a popular location, and we rank the resort as our top choice for kid-friendly resorts at Disney World.
