Stormalong Bay Pool Reopens at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club
Walt Disney World has announced that Stormalong Bay, the pool complex at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club, has officially reopened after a 6-month-long refurbishment. You may remember that the pool has been closed since early January 2025. Guests of either resort can now access the feature pool while construction and refurbishment work continues on the water slide and other areas of the resort.
Stormalong Bay is so much more than a feature pool. It is often the primary reason that guests decide to stay at Disney’s Beach or Yacht Club. The pool area spans three acres and is more akin to a water park than a traditional pool. Features include a life-size shipwreck that sits across the walkway from the pool. When it’s available again, guests can climb to the ship’s mast and take the 230-foot-long slide back down. A few other features include a lazy river with inner tubes, multiple whirlpool spas, and a sand pool for children, complete with a mound of sand that will keep many little ones busy all afternoon long.

Overall, we think it’s one of the best places to spend a resort day when you need a break from the parks! To learn more about Stormalong Bay, see our complete guide below.
