Disney Wilderness Lodge Refurbishment Update October 2025

Refurbishment work continues at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge with no end date in sight. You may remember this work started a little over a year ago, in August of 2024. During a recent visit to the resort in late October, we found multiple areas where work was taking place. We arrived at the resort via bus service and noticed multiple crews were painting the walkway that extends from the bus stop to the main lobby.

Unfortunately, the Disney World website has yet to list an end date for this construction and refurbishment work. Here is the official wording listed on the resort’s home page.

This Resort hotel is currently undergoing construction and refurbishment. Beginning August 5, 2024, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo exterior refurbishment work.

The area that offers a window display before the lobby entrance appeared to have been freshly painted.

Crews were literally painting the logs as we passed through.

Inside, all of the lobby’s back windows have been covered with a frosted window wrap featuring trees. It was apparently designed to hide the scaffolding that’s immediately outside.

Unfortunately, the scenic route leading from the lobby down to Copper Creek Falls is currently closed. Signage indicates that guests should take the long sidewalk inside the lobby to reach the rest of the resort.

Those windows have also been covered.

We could see the scaffolding lining the Copper Creek Villas side of the resort once we reached the outside.
