Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Ride List and Holiday Overlays
One benefit of attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom is the chance to experience select attractions with shorter-than-average lines. Many of the park’s rides remain open during the separately ticketed Christmas party, and some feature special holiday overlays available only during the event.
If you’re planning to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, knowing which attractions will be available can help you decide how to spend your evening. You might choose to ride a few favorites, seek out attractions with Christmas-themed enhancements, or spend more time enjoying the party’s entertainment, character greetings, and other seasonal offerings.
Below, we’ve compiled a list of attractions available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, including those that feature special holiday overlays. We update this guide each year with the latest information so you can use it to plan your visit.
Can You Ride Attractions Before the Party Starts?
Guests with tickets to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 p.m., even though the party doesn’t officially begin until 7:00 p.m. This gives you several additional hours to enjoy select attractions before the party gets underway.
If riding attractions is a priority, arriving early can help you make the most of your ticket. You can experience some rides before the party officially starts, then focus on holiday overlays and other exclusive offerings once the event begins.

Why Is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Not on the List?
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is scheduled to close for refurbishment beginning November 2, 2026, and is not scheduled to reopen until December 18, 2026. See our Tiana’s Bayou Adventure reopening update for the latest information. (It may be available on December 18, 20, and 22, but Disney hasn’t confirmed any details yet. If you’re visiting on those dates, keep an eye out for it reopening.)
Are Lightning Lanes Available During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass are not available for use during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party itself. These services are intended for eligible guests visiting Magic Kingdom during regular operating hours.
If you plan to visit the park before the party begins, you will need a valid theme park ticket for Magic Kingdom or a ticket with the Park Hopper option. For example, you might use valid admission to visit Magic Kingdom for the day, purchase a Lightning Lane pass, and then stay for the party with a separately purchased special event ticket.
In that case, you could use Lightning Lane passes during regular park hours. Once the party begins, you should plan to experience attractions through the party’s regular standby queues rather than relying on Lightning Lane access.
