Later Park Closing Returns to Epcot During Festival of the Holidays in 2025
Walt Disney World has extended park hours for Epcot from 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., starting November 28th, which means a later park closing during the holiday season. This was not a surprise. In the past few years, we’ve seen the same change at Epcot during the Festival of the Holidays. This year’s festival runs from November 28 through December 30, 2025. We expect to see a 9:30 p.m. close each evening of the festival as park hours become available.
The good news is that those visiting this time of year will have an extra 30 minutes in the park. It’s important to note that Epcot’s evening fireworks, Luminous: The Symphony of Us, are always held at park closing. So, the nightly fireworks performance will shift to 9:30 p.m. instead of the usual 9:00 p.m. A few shops will remain open until about an hour after the park closes. So don’t feel the need to rush out of the park when the fireworks conclude. We prefer to take our time and let the park clear out.

With this change, we’ll likely see extended evening hours for deluxe and deluxe villa guests at Epcot shift to 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. if and when they’re offered.
As far as other parks, time will tell whether any later evenings are offered during the holidays. When hours are extended, they will be updated in the My Disney Experience app. It is important to check those hours leading up to and during your trip.
You can do so by opening the app, selecting the hamburger icon (three stacked lines) on the bottom right corner, then scrolling down to the last item (Park Hours and Info) under “Plan My Next Visit.” You’ll see a calendar with the current month and date selected. The calendar will generally let you see up to about 70 days out.
