Official Opening Date Announced for the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
Walt Disney World has announced an official opening date for the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets! Per today’s press release, The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets is slated to open on May 26, 2026. You may remember the former version of the attraction (starring Aerosmith) closed back in early March. Here is the official opening announcement:
Starting May 26, the legendary ride roars back to life with a rock-charged remix that drops guests straight into the middle of The Electric Mayhem’s biggest night yet. With high-speed thrills, a pulse pounding soundtrack, and a VIP list like no other, this reimagined attraction hits all the right notes.

What We Know About the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster So Far…
To date, we know some of the attraction’s backstory. For instance, we know that the Muppets’ very own band, the Electric Mayhem, is in town to perform a very big concert. Crowds have shown up to see fan-favorites like Animal, Dr. Teeth, and the rest of the band bring down the house in a rock-tastic concert. The only problem? The band is nowhere to be found!
It turns out that the band is laying down a few tracks at G-Force Records, and as guests of the recording studio, you’re privy to an off-stage performance. As you look on, you’ll notice that Scooter, the band’s manager, is doing his best to convince the Electric Mayhem to wrap things up and get to their concert! Sound familiar?
