Prince Naveen and Princess Tiana Make Surprise Appearance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

On our past couple of visits to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we’ve run into several surprise meet-and-greets. We even had the opportunity to meet Prince Naveen with Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog. For reference, this is an exceptionally rare opportunity.

While Princess Tiana meets daily at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom, Prince Naveen doesn’t meet anywhere in the parks. The only time we usually see him is in the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom. We’ve also run into the pair meeting guests at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, a separate ticketed event that’s only offered during the holiday season.

So while this is not a guaranteed meet-and-greet, it’s a good reminder to always be on the lookout for surprise character interactions in the parks. This is also a great example because we run into many surprise pop-ups at this very spot. Let’s take a look at where you might find the same type of surprise.

When you first enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll see Sid Cahuenga’s One of a Kind Tinseltown Photos shop. This is the PhotoPass Studio at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Just past the studio, you’ll see a fenced area with a few trees. If you’re looking down the boulevard, you might not even notice this little corner. This is one of the best spots to find pop-up characters at Hollywood Studios. As far as timing, we usually see characters here in the mid to late afternoon. Again, they are not guaranteed, but we’ve seen many surprise characters at this location over the years. We actually saw them at this location on two consecutive visits to the park.

Final Thoughts

Always be on the lookout for surprise characters when you visit the parks, especially if you’re at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
