Final Closing Date Announced for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Walt Disney World has announced that the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith will permanently close on March 1, 2026. That will be the attraction’s final day of operation. Here is the official wording from Disney’s website:
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will open in Summer 2026. Read the Disney Parks Blog to learn more. The last day of operation for Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be March 1, 2026.

If you’re visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios between now and then, you might want to take the time for one final ride before the attraction’s impending closure. In case you missed it, the attraction’s pre-show has already permanently closed.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets will replace the current Aerosmith version of the attraction. The new version of the attraction is expected to have a Scooter Audio-Animatronic along with others as part of the new pre-show.
