Disney World in July 2026 (Weather, Crowd Expectations, and Details)
July is a busy month at Walt Disney World. The month starts with a bang (literally) regarding the 4th of July holiday. It is one of my favorite times to visit as a repeat guest. From the parks to the resorts, there will be extra festivities to celebrate the holiday weekend. That will be especially true for 2026, as Disney celebrates America’s 250th anniversary. We’ve already listed a few things that have been announced below.

Weather at Disney World in July
The weather in July is hot. It’s almost as insufferable as August and September, but not quite.
- Hydrate ahead of time and plan to stay hydrated during your trip. (This is so important.)
- Take breaks as needed. Check in with everyone in your party often. Some individuals may require more breaks than others.
Hurricanes are also possible in July, so you’ll want to remain weather-aware. If you’re investing a decent amount of money in your trip (regardless of when you visit), you might want to consider purchasing trip insurance. To be fully transparent, as regular visitors, this is not something we do often for Disney World. But it is something that adds an extra layer of protection when we cruise or plan once-in-a-lifetime trips to other destinations. An authorized Disney travel planner can help you better discern if you have any questions.
Disney World Crowds in July
Many guests will tell you that the parks are packed, but we have found in recent years that they are only slightly busier than average. Of course, someone who doesn’t visit often might have a difficult time discerning between a day with low crowds versus a more moderate one. To the average guest, a regular day at Magic Kingdom might feel busy even if you visit on the slowest day of the year. I hope that’s fair.
Yes, more people will likely show up on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th to participate in holiday festivities. But I wouldn’t go into my visit expecting the worst. If you have a bad attitude or anxiety about facing long lines before you arrive, it won’t make anything better. The biggest issue that most guests will face is the heat. We can’t mention enough how important it is to take regular indoor breaks and stay hydrated.
