Scat Cat’s Club at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Closing for Refurbishment
Scat Cat’s Club Café and Scat Cat’s Club Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter will soon close for refurbishment. Both locations will temporarily close starting October 6, 2026, with the café expected to reopen in December. The lounge is expected to reopen in January 2027. During the refurbishment, guests will still have access to a temporary bar, while beignets and coffee will be available at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory. Here is the official announcement from the Walt Disney World website.
Beginning on Oct. 6, Scat Cat’s Club – Café and Scat Cat’s Club – Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter will temporarily close for refurbishment. The café is expected to reopen in December, and the lounge is expected to reopen in January 2027.
- Temporary Bar: A temporary bar will be available near the café from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Relocated Beignets & Coffee: Beignets and coffee will be available at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory. Ghoulish Delight beignets will also be available there through Nov. 1.

As you likely know, the cafe is a popular stop at Port Orleans French Quarter, particularly for guests looking to enjoy the resort’s beignets and a cup of coffee. Fortunately, those items will remain available during the temporary closure. As a reminder, guests visiting through the first of November can also find the seasonal Ghoulish Delight beignets at the resort’s quick-service restaurant.
Guests hoping to enjoy live entertainment while the lounge is closed might like to check the schedule for Yeeha Bob Jackson, next door at Riverside. Make sure to get there early; he draws quite the crowd.
