Meet Donald Duck in Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion
Hola! Did you know that Donald Duck has a meet-and-greet at Epcot’s Mexico Pavilion? He meets outside the Aztec Pyramid in the World Showcase as the star of The Three Caballeros. He just returned from his concert tour!
Below, we’ll preview Donald Duck’s character meet-and-greet in the Mexico Pavilion and discuss where and when to find him on your next visit. Be prepared. This number one Duck is wearing his best sombrero at this location.

If Donald is greeting guests, he’ll be in front of the wall pictured below. It sits to the immediate right of the pyramid, just a little off the walkway.

We recently stopped to meet Donald and encountered a bit of a line. Unfortunately, most of this outdoor line is in direct sunlight, so be prepared.

As for this afternoon, I was visiting the park to meet a few characters. Donald just happened to be out meeting with guests when I joined the line. However, it wasn’t long before he took a break. This is typical of most meet-and-greets, where the character will meet for 15 to 20 minutes and then take a brief break. It’s always good to be patient. In this instance, Donald returned in less than five minutes. It took a total wait of 19 minutes from the time I joined the line until it was my turn. That wasn’t bad at all.
Small breaks are a common practice at many of the character meet-and-greets. However, if the character were not returning within a reasonable time, a cast member would cut off the line. If that happens, the character will stay out until they meet everyone who is already waiting. After that, however, no one else will be allowed to join the queue.

Yes, Donald, you’re the number one duck. (He always has to remind you.)

Donald meets at this location intermittently throughout the day between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. A PhotoPass photographer is usually present to take photos. You’ll want to check the My Disney Experience for the exact timing of this character meet-and-greet on the day of your visit.
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.
