Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s Bus Schedule (With Stops)
One perk of staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is complimentary bus service to and from select theme parks and Disney Springs. While the resort offers multiple transportation options, some destinations require a bus ride. So for this article, we’ll focus specifically on the resort’s bus schedule, including average travel times and what to expect during your stay.
For reference, those staying at Disney’s Contemporary can access three forms of complimentary transportation from the resort: the monorail, buses, and boats. (You can also walk to Magic Kingdom from this resort!) For buses, you’ll need to take them to Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs. The Contemporary also shares a bus service to these destinations with Disney’s Polynesian. You’ll be the first stop on the way to the parks, so you’ll have an extra stop on the way. This is how the routes work:
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort (1st Stop)
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (2nd Stop)
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom (Destination)
On the return trip:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom (Board Bus)
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort (1st Stop)
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
For years, the Contemporary shared a bus service with Wilderness Lodge. However, the shared service with the Polynesian began in summer 2026. As always, we like to remind our readers that extra buses usually service both resorts around rope drop, first thing in the morning. So, you might not always have that extra stop.
The Contemporary’s bus stop sits near the resort’s front entrance under a partially covered waiting area with a couple of benches. This is also where the walkway to Magic Kingdom begins. If you’re unsure, a sign by the bus stop lists your options.
Here are our bus travel times from Disney’s Contemporary Resort. These times do not include how long we waited for the bus. Wait-time signs are available at the resort bus stop and indicate when the next bus will arrive. The times below are how long it takes to get from the resort to the destination. They average several trips and don’t account for extenuating circumstances like heavy traffic.
