Disney Announces Skyliner Closing Dates for 2027 (Routine Refurbishment)
Disney has announced closing dates for the Skyliner in 2027. The Skyliner will close between January 24th and January 30th. Here is the official announcement from the Walt Disney World website.
From time to time, certain maintenance is required to keep our amenities and offerings updated. As part of these efforts, from January 24, 2027, through January 30, 2027, Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus service will be available.

If you have plans to stay at a resort offering direct access to the Skyliner, this closure will affect your travel to and from the resort. During this time, the following resorts will offer complimentary bus service to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
*When the Skyliner is operational, these resorts do not offer bus service to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Since it opened, the Skyliner has routinely closed for refurbishment in January, with one exception. Here are a few things you’ll want to consider:
- During the closure, guests will not be able to use the Skyliner for dining or resort-hopping. You will need to take a park-to-resort bus transfer to access these resorts while the Skyliner is down for maintenance. For example, if you were visiting Caribbean Beach, you could take a bus from your resort to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, then take a bus to Caribbean Beach.
- Skyliner Resort guests visiting Epcot will be dropped off at the park’s main entrance while the Skyliner is down. This means you’ll want to adjust your rope drop strategy or base your touring plans differently than you would from the International Gateway during this time.
These dates are not to be confused with the Skyliner closing dates for 2026 (here). For more closures, see our list of upcoming refurbishments at the Disney Resort Hotels.
