Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge to Undergo Extensive Refurbishment Through 2027
Walt Disney World has announced that Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo a refurbishment starting this October. This work will begin at Kidani Village, a Disney Vacation Club Resort that comprises part of the massive Animal Kingdom Lodge property. Between October 2025 and May 2026, guest rooms at Kidani Village will be refurbished. This is expected to be a significant refurbishment where most room elements are completely refreshed or replaced.
When work is completed at Kidani Village, the refurbishment will move to Jambo House, which is the main lodge. Work is expected to start at Jambo House in May of 2026 and be completed by January 2027. Here is the official announcement from Walt Disney World.
From October 2025 through May 2026, Guest rooms at Kidani Village at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo refurbishment, followed by refurbishment work at Jambo House from May 2026 through January 2027. During these times, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area. All amenities will remain available throughout the refurbishment.
